1.) HOW DID YOU GET STARTED IN THIS BUSINESS?
I worked for a very large company whose shows were always the same whether the child was 2 or 7 years of age. I had very little training, but found that I had a natural talent for working with children.
2.) WHERE DO YOU GET ALL YOUR COSTUMES?
My costumes are one of a kind. I personally design each costume and shop for the fabric. After consulting with a professional seamstress, each costume is custom made to fit me.
3.) WHAT MAKES YOU DIFFERENT FROM OTHER CHARACTERS?
Anyone can put on a costume and show up at a party, but very few people have the unique ability to make a child’s favorite character come to life. It takes patience and skill to interact with young children and hold their attention. Many hours of thought and preparation go into each and every party. I believe that once you have seen my performance you will be know that I put a lot of care and pride into my work. I truly love my job and love to see the look of delight on the faces of the children that I entertain.
4.) HOW MUCH SPACE DO YOU NEED?
Each event is self-contained. I can perform in an apartment living room or on a stage with a microphone. I am very flexible and need only enough room for the children to sit around me.
5.) DO I NEED TO SUPPLY ANYTHING?
No. I bring all my own equipment. All I ask is that you provide a table and a chair.
6.) HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO BOOK?
I am grateful to be a very busy princess, so I suggest booking a party six weeks in advance. Sometimes short notice parties can be accommodated. A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your reservation. The remaining balance is due in CASH ONLY on the day of service.
7.) WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEED TO CANCEL?
If your child becomes ill I will be happy to reschedule your party, as time permits. The party must be rescheduled within four weeks.
8.) WHO TAKES CARE OF A CHILD WHO BECOMES ILL OR IS A BEHAVIOR PROBLEM?
The child will have to be taken care of by you or the parents. The party princess is only responsible to engage the children in party activities. Good behavior is always promoted, but it is the responsibility of the hostess to monitor and take charge of any children who are not behaving or who do not want to participate in the party activities.
9.) OUT OF DOORS POLICY
If you are planning an outdoor party, always have a backup plan in the event of bad weather. Since the costumes and wigs that I wear are extremely hot, I prefer to work in a shaded or covered area.
Please save a spot for me to park in the driveway or in front of the house. I have a lot of heavy equipment to carry into your party. I appreciate having safe and easy access into the party site.
11.) WHAT IF A GUEST ARRIVES LATE?
My parties are based on a schedule and work best when all guests arrive on time. Late guests are welcome to join in upon arrival.
12.) WHAT SHOULD CHILDREN WEAR TO DRESS UP PARTIES?
Costumes are designed to go over children’s clothing. NO ONE GETS UNDRESSED.
13.) DRESS UP PARTIES
Dress up parties are to be held in doors or under a covered patio, deck, or garage. Children will not be allowed to wear costumes in bounce houses or on wet grass.
14.) CAN CHILDREN CONSUME FOOD IN COSTUME?
No. The costumes are for dress up only. If you are having a tea party they will wear a pinafore over their costume while eating food.
